Trip Planning Workshop
Plan Smart. Boat Confidently.
This workshop focuses on the decision-making side of boating — helping you understand why things work the way they do on the water.
You’ll Learn:
- How tides and currents affect your day
- Basic chart reading and navigation planning
- Weather awareness and trip timing
- How to plan a safe, comfortable outing

101 Foundations: Boating Basics
Build a Strong, Confident Foundation
101 Foundations is designed for women who want to feel comfortable, informed, and in control at the helm. This class removes intimidation and replaces it with familiarity, understanding, and hands-on practice.
You’ll Learn:
- How to read navigation markers
- Basic boat handling and steering
- Lines, fenders, and dock etiquette
- Safety equipment and procedures
- Hands-on wheel time in real conditions
Good fit if you:
- Are new to boating
- Have been a passenger more than a driver
- Want to feel comfortable handling a boat safely
- Format: On the water, hands-on
- Duration: 2.5 Hours
- Skill Level: Beginner

102 Confidence on the Water
Turn Skills Into Confidence
102 focuses on the moments that tend to cause the most stress — and teaches you how to handle them calmly and confidently. This is where many women experience their biggest confidence shift.
You’ll Practice:
- Docking and maneuvering
- Anchoring techniques
- Wind and current awareness
- Basic boat maintenance
- Real-world safety decision-making

- Understand the basics but want confidence in real situations
- Feel nervous docking or anchoring
- Want to practice decision-making on the water
- Format: On water, hands-on
- Duration: 2.5 Hours
- Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Trailering & Loading
Own the Whole Experience
Advanced Skills is designed for women ready to remove the final barriers to independence. This class focuses on skills that often prevent women from boating solo — and turns them into repeatable, manageable processes.
Topics Include:
- Trailering fundamentals
- Launching and loading
Good fit if you:
- Want to trailer and launch confidently
- Feel comfortable on the water but avoid certain tasks
- Are ready for full ownership of your boating experience
- Format: On water/boat ramp instruction
- Duration: 1.5 Hours
- Skill Level: Beginner – Advanced
Core Classes
101 & 102 – $149 per class (6 person max)
Trailering – $99 per class
101 & 102 depart from Sunset Cay Marina. Trailering is at Sol Legare and other landings.
Private Coaching
$175/hour (2 hour minimum)
Price includes 1 person, $100 for an additional person
